When will Cate support us?

Have you ever noticed that when other major Law Enforcement Agencies are under the Gun their Chief of Police usually goes in front of the media demanding good wages, or fighting layoffs. They always threaten with Public Safety or suggesting that because of cuts, they will release Prisoners onto the streets.

Well with that being said I consider myself pretty savvy on finding stories on the Web or different news outlets. And I'm yet to find anything from Mr. Cate defending the very people that work for him. Since I began my campaign of informing staff on all relevant information regarding CIM and CCPOA and just anything else that matters to our profession, I'm constantly told of the stories of how bad some of my partners have it right now. The many of you that talk about losing your homes, or having being forced to live with friends or family, because the impact of the Furloughs.

I remember when I first started in this department in 1995(which for many of you at CIM, is not alot of time)I always heard the name of Mr. Gomez our Director. Good or bad, he always seemed to put information out! Those were the days when we actually had a boss that gave a shit about us! So Mr. Cate while I know you would never read my lonely local Blog. I wish you could hear US, we need your help!!! We can't and should not depend on the UNION for everything. Just once it would be nice to hear you come out and say something to our defense. I saw you once at CIM and it was after the West Yard riot, you said somethings that were positive, or did you say somethings that you felt you had to say? All of us at CIM were willing to risk our lives for the "cause", even if we were doing it cause it was right, regardless of 15% less pay.
