CIMriders local news

Next week many management changes will be taking place the first week of December.  I'm hoping that these changes will be a positive change for CIM.  We welcome Ms B. Cash as the new CDW.

The SOMS program now seems to be up and running at CIM.  Staff have done a great job in adapting the SOMS program.  It started out kinda of rough, but it seems this was a result of the limited training that we received.  I hope that management recognizes the Officers that have stepped up and accepted the redirects to Central Control to help the Sergeants implement the SOMS program.  Great Job guys you know who you are!

Also on the AB109 front, all the day rooms are now closed on "C" facility.  Staff are being placed in OTAP positions and some are experiencing redirects.  The Central Gym ("B" facility) has also been closed for sometime.  You can really see the effects these days if you work Central, the movement is definitely down!

A Sergeant was assaulted in Palm Hall (ASU)  A inmate being interviewed became combative and assaulted the Sergeant.  Staff quickly subdued the attacker and returned him to his Ad-Seq cell.  The Sergeant is home recovering from his injuries.

A Officer on Facility "D" was monitoring the inmate movement, during yard recall and noticed an inmate entering his housing unit.  The inmate was acting very nervous and was trying to avoid eye contact with the Officer.  The Officer, pulled the inmate over and discovered that the inmate had a large number of contraband items.  The Officer called for additional staff, the inmate was discovered to have a large amount of Tobacco, drugs, cell phones and a bottle of Hennessey!  Great job Officer "I"!!!

Thanksgiving several Officers were ordered over, its never fun getting ordered over, but on a major holiday it really S...ks!!  However, I did want to recognize Sergeant Crosby for going out of her way to bring a Thanksgiving dinner in to staff.  She also did her best to send a dinner over to the staff that were ordered over.  She did not have to do this, Thanks Sergeant Crosby!!!

Have a Safe 8

  2. CCPOA does not care about us. Its all about them! I wonder if they will raise dues with the loss of all the Jr dues paying members.

  3. Dude nobody cares what happens to Jr staff. As far as I'm concerned I will not miss out on doing things with family and friends on the weekends and holidays. If SAB calls me get ready for an order over refusal! Call staff who aren't getting laid off because they're insane if they think I'm making sacrifices of any kind to just get the boot come March 1.

  4. Hey CIM, if you guys would of never lost west yard in that riot, maybe us YTS would of never came on board. Coming to CIM I realize how you guys lost west yard with so many Lame ass staff. We came to CIM and set the example, were hard working staff and dedicated staff.

  5. That was a cool gesture Sgt. Crosby. I'm out on WC, not walking the line and I think CIM and CDCR can use more Sgt. Crosbys! As far as the statewide rip-off.....talk about being shafted. Thats all this department and union has done is shaft its Jr. staff. Wait until they need those Jr. staff again though! Diemert

  6. Hey anonymous dated December 1, 2011 4:30pm, You YTS staff did set the example on how to be hug-a-thugs. I see too many former yts staff over familiar with inmates. You guys sure know how to set a negative example.

  8. Hey YTS, lost the West Yard in the riot? Please, don't speak on sh*t u know nothing about! I was in the riot, Joshua Hall, by myself with two hundred inmates. Emptied a 46.4 page report. Glass particles in my arm and cheek. That was not "lost", it was destroyed. Big difference. RCW did their jobs that night and some including myself were effected by what we saw and went through. Now if you want to talk crap on CIM, be my guest. I and many other officers involved were left out of the "Award Ceremony" while others not even on the yard during the riot got their asses kissed for showing up after it was over. I ain't disrespecting anyone from YTS, actually most of you that came over have been cool, but I will stand up for staff involved in that night. The ones on the RCW FLSA and first responders at least. Be safe. Diemert
