Saturday, March 31 - Cesar Chavez Day*
Monday, May 28 - Memorial Day
Wednesday, July 4 - Independence Day
Monday, September 3 - Labor Day
Monday, November 12 - Veteran's Day (observed)**
Thursday, November 22 - Thanksgiving Day
Friday, November 23 - Day after Thanksgiving
Tuesday, December 25 - Christmas Day

Notes

In addition to these holidays, most employees receive one personal holiday per fiscal year.
* Saturday holiday: You accrue holiday credit. Full-time employees accrue eight hours. Other employees accrue hours equal to their time base, up to eight hours. (If Veteran's Day, November 11, falls on a Saturday, the holiday is observed the preceding Friday.) ** Sunday holiday: Observed the following Monday

What is Leap year?  The year 2012 is a leap year. A leap year is a year in which one extra day is added at the end of February and consists of 366 days. The extra day, February 29 is the leap day of the leap year and has been associated with age-old traditions, superstitions and folklore.


So if you have Mon-Tues RDO's your getting holidays off this year!!!!

  2. I have not heard this but if I was a betting man I would say "NO". We have experienced a mission change, going mostly SNY, this is a need to the State. Remember for the last 10 years or so, they have been saying the samething about CRC. So I hope the rumor your hearing is that, a Rumor!

  3. It's quite appropriate then that cdc made February 29th (leap day) the effective day of layoff/transfer for those impacted by wave one of ab109.
