Federal Officer charge with sex with an inmate

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A former California prison guard is facing 15 years in prison for having sex with a Lompoc federal prison inmate.

Federal prosecutors say 42-year-old Renee Noelle Gutierrez pleaded guilty in a Los Angeles courtroom on Thursday to a felony charge of sexual abuse of an inmate. The Redondo Beach woman will be sentenced on March 26.

Gutierrez was a dorm supervisor at the California central coast prison when she had sex with a male inmate in April 2010. She resigned when the sexual conduct was uncovered.

  1. You would of thought after all of the over familiarization courses being taught throughout the federal and state agencies that people will get a clue not to risk your livelihood , your reputation, home and family behind one of them scumbag convicts and how many more times will an officer let one of these felons get under their skin to the point that an officer lays hands on one of these stains of society... Wake Up! The dept. will not back you , there is a reason we sign all these o.j.t. forms it releases the dept. from responsibility and ownership from any wrong that you commit while on duty and that felon WILL come after you and your assests

  2. Speaking of OJT.....We should also sign for the time we have OJT. That means sign that form for the 3 minutes of training you got! Not the 1 hour they want you to sign for to make them look like they are doing it. Last to learn, first to burn!
