Just as an FYI –
As many know there is a Job exchange that has been offered for Officers who would like to exchange location with other officers at different Institutions.
Currently no exchanges have been approved.
Those that submitted a request (VIA CCPOA), are being reviewed by HQ. Once a decision has been made, a list of officer who were successful and have been approved for the Exchange will be generated and forwarded to the hiring authority.
Jesse L. Cantwell
Administrative Assistant to the
Assistant Deputy Director
Division of Adult Institutions
(This was sent via State email, so as of right now there are no exchanges being approved as of this writing. I had heard the State was overwhelmed by the number of Officers that requested a voluntary transfer exchange. I know that CCPOA has a written agreement, we will have to wait and see.)
Why do we need an Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Deputy Director. As a matter of fact why do we need an Assistant Deputy Director? Trim the fat from the top instead of the boots on the ground.
ReplyDeleteTry to keep it clean guys, I won't post your comments if it's not semi clean. Try again!
ReplyDeleteDid you really think that this process was going to work? They can't even get your pay check correct yet alone this one day semi-formulated event!!!!!
ReplyDeletei understand why many jr. officers would want to transfer to other prisons thus securing they're job by having a better seniority score, yet bringing in other officers with not a similar amount of seniority but with much more and in some cases 20 years and more, only drops other officer down a notch whom was safe from the 'cuts' and possibly putting them on the chopping block over the next wave or two , this only causes more division amongst officers that will remain at CIM, once again another well thought out plan by CCPOA as well as not opposing and campaigning against AB109 to the fullest extent...p.s. Im retiring in less than 6 months so i wrote this in concern for my brothers at CIM who will remain and now who may be displaced because of the incoming transfers that will be allowed.
ReplyDeleteThat just goes to show you no one is safe. If your over 50 years and you are close to your goal get out now. That might give the junior Officers one closer shot at staying in Chino.
DeleteIt does not matter. If it comes down to it bumping rights will be state wide. Bumbing by county only will not fly.
ReplyDeleteEither way, a number of CIM officers will be displaced. I know you senior officers don't want people coming in messing with there seniority, but if you were about to be laid off And you are the sol provider for your family, I'm sure you would take part in the exchange. We don't know what options or transfers this next wave has And no one wants to be forced to go somewhere. This Exchange gives people the ability to have some control over their future. So forgive the "rookies" for not thinking about how it would effect more senior staff , we "rookies" are in survival mode right now And frankly don't give you know what about how more senior staff are affected at this point.
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck is a jr. officer? An officer is an officer no matter how much time you have under those boots. As a matter of fact, I strongly believe that if you spent your entire career at CIM and have never been to a level IV yard were you have to earn your simple c/o pay then I consider you a jr. officer. Maybe instead of waiting six months to retire you should do your eight and hit the gates and maybe you can give a "jr. office" an opportunity!
ReplyDeleteTime in at Chino does not mean shit. I wear hash marks but I'm dumd as rocks and have no knowledge to share. The hash marks make me feel important even though I can't write a 115/837 and I have never booked an Inmate because I don't want any problems.
ReplyDeleteSo there is division among the officers? CIM experience is worthless? You need to be on a Level 4 yard in order to deserve your salary? Really? Watch what happens when CRC closes and they decide not to open the YTS Facility.
ReplyDeleteOne small glimmer is that the MH UNIT at CIW is opening soon they have 80 spots now and will be getting 80 more.
Level four experience is sitting around all day because they are always locked down. CIM East was the most active yard in the southern region. Check the number of incident reports. That's experience
ReplyDeletesome of you junior officers haven't seen anything! Yea you worked a level Iv prison so what. try working a unit at cim-west or east facility back in the day you had to watch your back. Iv'e worked at three prisons andCim was the best place now I'm at camp how many of you junior officers can work camp ? not many don't have any experience.
