From CRC Warden to Staff

Hello staff

As you are aware, Governor Brown signed the major budget. I have attached the section of the budget which affects states prisons. I am sadden to inform you that CRC is approved to close by budget year 2015/2016. We have tried to prepare you for this information in the previous months even by having our Under Secretary Terri McDonald come down to address the possibility of closing. Some of the “old timers” did not believe it because CRC has been here before. However the day has arrived, it is written and approved. I do not want you to panic and or make any drastic decisions. Now is the time to sit down with your loved ones and to view your options. Closing CRC will be a four year process, so you have some time make the best decision for you and your household. WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS TOGETHER! I have faith in the Department that they will help us make a smooth transition to closure. My promise is to provide you with as much information regarding the closure process and to deliver it as frequently as I receive it. Remember, information is power and key to your success.

This is a reminder, we have approximately four years left. We still have an institution to run and a mission to fulfill. We will do it like we always have: with professionalism, respect, dignity, as a team, with all departments working cohesively, and as much support that extended family members give to each other. Hoorah, we can do this and we will because that is who we are, CRC! I am proud to have worked here all these years.

  2. What is this ???? A warden that actually talks to staff. How odd is that, at cim we would have to find out from the Mac reps

  3. Thats what I said when I went CRC, administration is way more pro staff. CIM is garbage, it wasnt pleasant working in the lamest prison in the state. Bunch of short man syndrome going on in CIM, especially that midget captain you got working over there in Central.

  4. Sorry Cindy were all aware of your performance, just all talk, don't pretend that you care

  5. Tampkins has been a different warden than I was used to at CIM. She gets really involved, she actually cares; she calls officers that take bereavement leave to offer them condolences, and when the closure was first announced she personally came in at 5am the next morning to get on the ringdown so that she could talk to 1st watch officers about what was going on. Several times she's stayed past 10pm to keep 1st watch involved in events going on at the prison. She's serious about work, and I don't agree with everything she does, but I appreciate the effort she makes.

  6. PLEASE , pro staff my ars... Just by her saying that she has faith in the "Department" speaks volumes on where she's coming from.

  7. True that! CIM is definitely is the lamest prison in the state but grateful to be here since it is close to home. That statement of the short man syndrome is 100% accurate on facility B. Be true to yourself and don't try and act hard wearing your jump suit or displaying the boot sticker on your vehicle. I notice that I never see any of those vehicles flying that sticker on their window driving around my neighborhood in the SVG. Be safe you are a target.

  9. No one should panic. These fools are so lame. Crime is already on the rise. In less than three years society will be screaming for justice and once again the process will reverse and the street cleansing will begin. They will open up stark I have no doubt. They have started something that is going to be the biggest back fire in history. So what if they close crc. They will open stark it is not going to sit there forever. Remember they plan on bringing 10000 inmates back from out of state. Thats over two prisons of inmates right there. Relax. We will be ok

  14. Dear "Anonymous"

You sound like a bitter person. You have some gall talking crap about our institution. Work is like family. It isn't perfect but it's our. You need to reevaluate your attitude and check it. You are no better then these "Administrator" that you hate. You are no better then the inmates YOU babysit. I say babysit because with your lame attitude I can tell that you are not an Officer. You are a lame guard. Own your words and feelings. Stand up for what you believe in. Stop being a coward. I guarantee that I've rolled through some tougher "neighborhoods" then where that gutless wonder who calls himself "Anonymous" lives. HEY Coward, sticker or no sticker, try rolling through places like Deh Yak, Andar, Espandi, Ghazni, Wardak all with a huge ass American Flag flapping proudly in the wind. My point is this, TRUE RIDERS DON'T FEAR A NEIGHBORHOOD, A NAME, OR A MAN. TRUE RIDERS FEAR FAILURE, TRUE RIDERS FEAR BEING COWARDS!!! Boom Bitch! Oh and I don't sport that stupid sticker due to the racist connotations attached to it, but I own MY thoughts!

    2. @6:17PM. First off, SGT. Acosta is not a "lame guard." Second, he is a damn good supervisor and Soldier! Third, at least he can stand up and put his name to what he has to say, Instead of hiding behind anonymity. And I am sure that your only response will be something like "why are you under his desk?" Or "Why are you all on his n**ts." Because that is what lame guards will say..... Well, I am under no ones desk, literally or metaphorically. It is about respect. Like myself he has been through some real s**t, not just "lame prison guard" s**t. He also happens to be one of the few that I respect. So show some respect you dirty LEG!! AIRBORNE!!!!

    1. @4:05PM. If you are insinuating that I have been posting anonymously, you are mistaken. I do not hide! Never have, never will......

  16. Again I say "own your words". You now who I am, you know who Roberts is. We own our beliefs and stand by our words. Next time you make love to your woman just remember that you post as anonymous and therefore should not look her in the eyes for she will know at that moment, that she is with a COWARD.

  17. You were both in the Military fighting for freedom. Well Posting on the Internet, anonymous or not ,talking smack about a government organization funded by taxpayers is a freedom. You call people cowards and talk about making love to their woman and put your name on it, Congratulations.

    1. @6:07AM. You are correct, you have the right to free speech. I fought for and support free speech! I may not agree with what you have to say, but it is still your right. You also have the right to post anonymously, but my point has always been that if you are going to castigate someone, you should have the intestinal fortitude(That is a euphemism for guts by the way. I know some of you "guards" may have trouble with that.) to put your name to your criticisms. Let me put this in terms you may better understand... Anonymity is fine, unless you are talking s**t. In that case it is my opinion that anonymity = cowardice.

  20. WOW!!! Anonymous 7-1-12 8:38 pm, I have an idea, why don't you act like a "peace officer" who makes 70 plus thousand a year instead of an Inmate thug from a "hood". I'm sick of people in our profession, and yes I said PROFESSION because we are PROFESSIONALS, acting like damn thugs. We are better than that. I don't care what area, not "hood" you live in or what sticker you blast on your vehicle, we are all green, and we are all Peace Officers, so act accordingly. By the way I don't have an account with this blog but my name is Correctional Officer James Cenderelli, and I'm at CRC now, so feel free to hit me up.

  21. Fellow Officers, that guy will never reveal himself. Don't respond to him anymore. He is what is referred to as a "troll". People like that just go around looking to rile people up and ruffle feathers. He's like a bully, don't respond and he'll get bored. Don't curse at him or acknowledge him. Put this info out to all of our Officers on this blog. Even one comment or reply gives him power. Our reactions are his "yellow sun" but silence, loneliness and indifference are his "kryptonite"
Anonymous, I did fight for freedoms and you are correct I did earn the right for you say what you want. So speak away my brother. Roberts, Cenderelli go ahead conduct an about face and depart this room. Have a great day gentlemen.
