One for One Job Exchange

ONE-FOR-ONE JOB EXCHANGE

The State and CCPOA have agreed to conduct a Job Exchange for the C/O and CCI classifications, in May/June 2013, with an additional exchange in 2013. CCPOA will make every effort to facilitate Job Exchanges for those submitting requests. The following terms must be met:

 Participants must be from the same classification and time base at the time the request is submitted.

 Once submitted, the exchange is binding and non-revocable.

Every attempt will be made to complete the exchanges by seniority, however, there are no guarantees.

 Participants will not be guaranteed a specific position, and honoring any previously approved vacation, holiday, or leave requests will be solely at the discretion of the newly assigned institution.

 All Job Exchanges must be approved by CDCR.

Any exchange of jobs will not protect against future layoffs or involuntary transfers due to future Wave Reductions. Therefore, management retains the right to deny an exchange due to layoff issues.

 Those attending the April 29th Transitional Academy will be allowed to participate. However, if an exchange is approved, participants will be required to pay back all Wave 3 Per Diem monies prior to their report date.

The Voluntary Job Exchange Program Forms will be accepted beginning on May 23, 2013.

If you have previously submitted an Exchange Request, you must resubmit a request for this May/June One-for One Exchange.

The deadline for the submission of One-for-One Job Exchange forms is midnight, June 7, 2013. No forms will be accepted after this date.

To secure the May/June 2013, Job Exchanges, CCPOA must submit forms to CDCR for approval on June 14th, 2013.

If the exchange is approved, the report date to the new position assignment will be on or about August 1, 2013.
